I'm not going to write much, because I desparately want to go relax, but I just wanted to say that I found out how much of a stinker Lucas is! lol. I recently posted how he has been giving us such a hard time at night. Well last night my mother-in-law brought him home and put him to bed because I was at the hospital with my husband (for kidney stones, til midnight. it sucked). So, the boy slept ALL FREAKING NIGHT! Not one peep!!!! Little stinker!! So now I at least know that he isn't sick, he is just giving me a hard time. lol.

I will definately post more later, but I am sooo tired right now and Lucas will be home shortly. I have spent about about 20 hours in the hospital/E.R. in the past three days. I'm ready to relax on my own couch.

Oh yeah! Thanks for everyone's advice and comments! I have a couple new ideas to try, so that is awesome. :o)

Is anyone else having problems with their two-year-olds sleeping?? For about the past week Lucas has been waking up a lot during the night and usually goes straight to screaming and crying.  Last night Lucas woke up around 11 and was up til about 1230, mostly whining and crying. I went up at 11, worked on him for about 25 minutes, but he wouldn't settle down so I left again. He threw a tantrum and screamed until I went back up. He finally settled down and woke up again around 215, and was screaming and kicking his feet within a few minutes. UGH! I am so frustrated and tired.  It almost seems like something is wrong, but then it doesnt. It makes me think of an ear infection, but he hasn't been talking about it hurting or anything like that. He did have a little fever Saturday night....but I really don't know. Other than that there are no symptoms, it more seems like he is just being a pain in the butt! ha. He has been throwing a lot of tantrums lately, probably partly because he is tired too though.

I really don't know what to do. I don't know if he is just getting in the habit for doing it and he knows that we will come, or what. I am considering letting him cry it out for a couple nights, but its hard now that he is getting bigger because he will kick his feet and can now get out of bed. Plus, I am a little worried that he does have an ear infection or something. I should probably just call the doctor, but it seems like he would be big enough to say if his ears hurt, so.......

Anyone else in a similar boat?

I have a question for anyone who is a teacher or a professor of education. Does it look really bad if you are pregnant while student teaching? Also, is it a problem to be pregnant during student teaching, what with having to miss time for doctor's visits and whatnot.

I have one year left of school, which will be my methods block and then student teaching during my last semester and I really, really want to get pregnant so I can have a baby in between graduating and getting a teaching job. My son will be 3 next Feb. and I would really like to have a baby then, rather than wait another year. Also, having one next year would give me a little more time off if I can manage to get pregnant when I want to.

Otherwise I will definately be getting pregnant around the end of my first year teaching and would have to be taking time off then, and don't know if that would look good either.

Any thoughts and comments on this are greatly appreciated. :)

I was talking to my son's daycare teacher the other day about potty training and she said a good indicator that a child is ready is when they stay dry for a couple of hours.  When you change them and change them again two hours later and they're still dry, they'll likely go on the potty.  When they stay dry for awhile it shows that they are beginning to be able to hold it a little better and are more ready to start training. I just thought this was a good tip and I would pass it along!

Hey everyone. I'm a mommy of one february baby, Lucas. He'll be 2 on the 22. I'm married and am currently working on finishing up my teaching degree. I've been reading some of the entries here and thought this would be a good community to join to find some friends. I definately need some help with potty training and of course, always love to show off my baby. :)

Here's a pic of the little man:

So add me to your friends list if you want to talk and I'll be checking in the community. Also, congrats to everyone who is pregnant again. I couldn't believe all those entries. lol. :o)

What are you all planning for your little one's 2nd Birthday? We're not having a "kids party" so to speak, mainly because there will be lots more adults than children (probably about 7 children) but I still want to do some kids activities, etc - what are you doing?
Here's a pic of little Neil on Christmas night. He'll be 2 February 2.

Has anyone had any sucess with this yet? My daughter is at the stage where she will bring me a clean diaper after she has wet hers and demand to be changed but she isnt comunicating it before hand. We have tried randomly putting her on the potty and she actually enjoys it but we cant get her to pee in it. but as soon as we get a diaper on her she will wet it. its like she holds it until shes in the diaper. We have tried rewards but it isnt helping.
